- "Get more chat with mIRC"
Internet Relay Chat is not as well-known as ICQ, even though it successfully combines chat and messaging without annoying ads. The IRC network is a virtual meeting place where people from all over the world can meet and talk. With mIRC, you can choose from an unlimited number of existing chat rooms based on personal interests, or you can create your own channels with family and friends. IRC is more advanced than simple messenging, so it may take a while to get started. With a bit of browsing, though, you'll find that the mIRC interface allows easy access to IRC features. It guides you through the initial stages, including selecting from a wide list of servers. You can connect to more than one IRC server at once and chat through proxy. By creating your own channel, you can even set up a virtual meeting with colleagues. This program suits advanced users keen to expand their chat-client functionalities. For first-time users, mIRC offers the most functionality of any chat program available, which can be overwhelming at first--but if you read the help files you'll be on your way to using all the features mIRC has to offer.

Version: mIRC 6.35
"It works - but not worth paying for"
Pros: It works and is probably the most used but that doesn't make it the best as the best is always FREE
Cons: $20 registration - apparently still works if you don't register but not tried it.
Summary: If you want to pay $20 the go ahead but there are FREE programs out there that do exactly the same thing........

Version: mIRC 6.35
Pros: Ok i have to admit that is the greatest and most used chat tool...
Cons: You have to pay for it, $20.00 just for chatting is a bit of excesive...
Summary: honestly i donŽt think i have to pay $20.00 for this, i can chat for free using the ChatZilla client on my Firefox Browser, so honestly if you think that iŽll pay $20.00 for a non at all special chat client you must be out of your mind

Version: mIRC 6.35
"Simple, cheerful and free of bloat."
Pros: Almost entirely free of bloat, this light application does everything you need an IRC client to do with a minimum of fuss. Ideal for beginners, it has a satisfactory documentation, a reasonable suite of features and allows for some customization.
Cons: More advanced IRC users may find client features to be somewhat limited, such as the inability to have different sessions open concurrently and less support for scripting.
Summary: While lacking some of the bells and whistles you may find other clients, mIRC performs all the basic functions you'd expect from an IRC client without any of the useless stuff.
